Norm Clark is Australian and lives in Melbourne. He first visited Cambodia in 2008/2009 when he rode 700kms raising funds for an orphanage, in the Siem Reap District. He expanded this in 2010 when he organised 12 cyclists to ride 1200kms around Cambodia and raised over $56,000 AUD
Cambodia is desperately in need of assistance across the whole country but Norm believes he can best help by getting involved in a specific initiative at the village level. He became aware of the plight of the families with HIV that seem to fall outside the scope of other charitable groups and was approached to see if he would start a project to raise funds to support a number of these families. This is the start of New Beginnings helping people to be come self sustaining , creating a future for themselves, giving them an opportunity to better their lives and the lives of their children.
